Description
Chocolate Chip Cherry Bars are chewy, sweet, and filled with juicy cherries and melty chocolate perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups pitted cherries (fresh or thawed)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment paper.
2. Mix butter and brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla, beat until smooth.
3. Fold in flour, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold in chocolate chips and cherries.
4. Spread batter evenly in the pan. Bake 35–40 minutes until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
5. Cool completely before slicing into bars. Optionally, drizzle with melted chocolate or dust with powdered sugar.
Notes
For best results, use fresh cherries when in season. Store in an airtight container up to 3 days. Optionally add nuts for crunch.
