Description
Festive, fluffy, and filled with melted cheese this Cheesy Christmas Tree Bread is made from buttery dough balls stuffed with mozzarella and brushed with garlic butter for the ultimate holiday appetizer.
Ingredients
1 can refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade dough)
16–18 mozzarella cheese cubes
3 tbsp melted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Marinara sauce, for dipping
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Unroll pizza dough and cut into 16–18 equal squares.
3. Place one cheese cube in the center of each square, pinch edges to seal, and roll into a ball.
4. Arrange dough balls in the shape of a Christmas tree on the baking sheet (one at the top, increasing rows below).
5. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, and Italian seasoning.
6. Brush dough balls with half of the garlic butter.
7. Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
8. Brush with remaining garlic butter, sprinkle with Parmesan, and serve warm with marinara sauce.
Notes
Add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a spicy twist.
Stuff with a mix of mozzarella and cheddar for extra flavor.
