Description
Transform humble cabbage into delicious wraps filled with seasoned ground beef, cheddar cheese, and fresh vegetables. Perfect for family meals or quick weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 head of cabbage
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- Pickles (optional)
- Ketchup (optional)
- Mustard (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Start by cutting the cabbage head into individual leaves. Set those aside for later.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef along with the diced onions until the beef turns brown and the onions soften.
- After it’s cooked, drain any excess fat from the pan. Season the mixture generously with salt and pepper to taste.
- Now we’re ready to assemble! Take a cabbage leaf and add a nice scoop of the beef mixture. Top it with cheese, diced tomatoes, and if you like, some pickles, ketchup, or mustard.
- Roll the cabbage leaf tightly around the filling, just like you would a burrito, and enjoy your creation!
Notes
Serve with a crisp garden salad or sweet potato fries. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
