Description
A warm and comforting chai latte made with black tea, aromatic spices, and creamy milk — the perfect cozy drink for chilly mornings or relaxed afternoons.
Ingredients
2 black tea bags (or 2 tsp loose-leaf black tea)
1 cup water
1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
2 tsp honey or maple syrup
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/8 tsp ground cardamom
1/8 tsp ground cloves
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil.
2. Add tea bags and all the spices; reduce heat and simmer for 3–5 minutes.
3. Stir in milk and honey, then heat gently until hot but not boiling.
4. Remove from heat, discard tea bags, and stir in vanilla extract.
5. Froth the mixture using a whisk or frother until creamy.
6. Pour into a mug, sprinkle with extra cinnamon if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use a mix of half milk and half cream.
Adjust sweetness to taste — try brown sugar for a deeper flavor.
Add a shot of espresso for a chai latte dirty version.
