Description
This Brown Sugar Chicken recipe is juicy, sticky, and loaded with sweet heat from pineapple and chili.
Ingredients
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup pineapple juice
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp chili flakes
1/2 tsp paprika
4 boneless chicken thighs
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Trim and pat chicken dry.
2. Mix all marinade ingredients and coat chicken.
3. Let marinate for 15 minutes (or up to 2 hours).
4. Heat grill or skillet and sear chicken 4–5 minutes each side.
5. Add reserved marinade and cook until thick and sticky.
6. Check doneness at 165°F.
7. Rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate overnight.
Swap thighs with drumsticks or breasts (adjust cook time).
