Description

These Festive Caramel Apple Slices are fun, easy, and less messy than traditional caramel apples! Crisp apple slices dipped in warm caramel and decorated with sprinkles, chocolate, nuts, and more.

Ingredients

Scale

3 large apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji)

1 (11 oz) bag soft caramels, unwrapped

2 tbsp heavy cream

Wooden popsicle sticks

Assorted toppings (sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, chopped nuts, crushed cookies, melted chocolate)

Instructions

1. Slice apples into 1/2-inch thick rounds and remove seeds.

2. Insert a popsicle stick into the bottom of each slice.

3. Pat apple slices dry with a paper towel (this helps caramel stick).

4. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat caramels and heavy cream in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

5. Dip each apple slice into caramel, letting excess drip off.

6. Place dipped slices onto a parchment-lined tray.

7. Add sprinkles, nuts, chocolate, or other toppings before caramel sets.

8. Chill for 10–15 minutes to help caramel firm up, then enjoy!

Notes

Drying the apple slices is key to avoiding caramel sliding off.

Drizzle with white or dark chocolate for a gourmet look.

Best enjoyed the same day to keep apples crisp.
