- 1/2 cup (100g) dark brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (40g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup (4 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips or chocolate chunks (optional)
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large bowl until completely melted.
- Add both the dark brown sugar and granulated sugar to the melted butter and whisk until smooth.
- Incorporate the eggs and vanilla extract and whisk until blended.
- Combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda, and optional chocolate chips; fold gently into the wet mixture.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Cool for 10 to 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
