These Beef Stuffed Shells with Creamy Ricotta Filling are the ultimate comfort food hearty, cheesy, and baked to perfection. Ideal for family dinners or meal prep.
Ingredients
20 jumbo pasta shells
1 lb ground beef
1 cup ricotta cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
1/4 cup grated parmesan
1 egg
1 tsp dried basil
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups marinara sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
1. Cook pasta shells until al dente. Rinse in cold water.
2. In a skillet, cook beef with olive oil and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
3. In a bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, egg, basil, and beef.
4. Stuff each shell with filling.
5. Spread 1 cup marinara in baking dish. Add shells.
6. Top with remaining sauce and cheese.
7. Cover and bake at 375°F for 25 minutes.
8. Uncover and broil 3–5 mins until bubbly.
9. Let rest before serving.
Notes
Make ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours before baking.
Freeze in foil pans for easy future meals.
