Description

These Banana Bread Cinnamon Rolls are soft, sweet, and loaded with ripe banana flavor and a gooey cinnamon swirl. A warm brunch favorite that’s part banana bread, part cinnamon roll!


Ingredients

Dough:

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2¼ tsp) instant yeast

1/4 cup warm milk

1 egg

1/2 cup mashed ripe banana

3 tbsp melted butter

1/4 cup sugar

1/2 tsp salt

Filling:

1/3 cup brown sugar

2 tbsp melted butter

1 tbsp cinnamon

1 tbsp mashed banana

Optional Glaze:

1/2 cup powdered sugar

12 tbsp milk

1/4 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let bloom for 5 minutes.

2. Add banana, egg, melted butter, flour, and salt. Mix and knead until smooth.

3. Let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled.

4. Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread filling evenly.

5. Roll into a log and slice into 8–10 rolls.

6. Place in greased pan, cover, and rise again for 30–40 minutes.

7. Bake at 350°F for 22–25 minutes until golden.

8. Cool slightly and drizzle with glaze if using.

Notes

Store at room temp for 2 days or refrigerate for 4 days.

Reheat in microwave or oven for fresh-from-the-oven taste.

Great with chopped pecans, raisins, or a maple glaze.
