These Baked Pears with Goat Cheese, Honey, and Cranberries are a beautifully simple yet sophisticated appetizer or dessert warm pears filled with creamy goat cheese, drizzled with golden honey, and topped with tart cranberries.
Ingredients
3 ripe pears, halved and cored
1 tbsp melted butter
1/2 cup goat cheese, softened
2 tbsp honey (plus extra for drizzling)
1/4 cup dried cranberries
2 tbsp chopped walnuts or pecans
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Fresh thyme or mint for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
2. Brush pear halves with melted butter and place cut-side up in the dish.
3. In a small bowl, mix goat cheese, 1 tbsp honey, and a pinch of salt until creamy.
4. Spoon the mixture into the center of each pear half.
5. Top with dried cranberries and nuts, then sprinkle with cinnamon.
6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until pears are tender and cheese is slightly golden.
7. Drizzle with additional honey and garnish with thyme or mint before serving.
Notes
Use Bosc or Anjou pears for best texture.
For a savory twist, drizzle with balsamic glaze instead of honey.
