Description
Baked Brie in puff pastry with honey and fig is creamy, flaky, and elegant perfect for holidays or gatherings.
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 wheel brie cheese (8–12 oz)
3–4 fresh figs, sliced (or 2 tbsp fig jam)
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet.
2. Roll puff pastry slightly larger than brie wheel.
3. Place brie in the center, top with figs and honey.
4. Fold pastry edges over brie, sealing completely.
5. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle sea salt.
6. Bake 25–30 minutes until pastry is golden.
7. Rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Chill wrapped brie 10 minutes before baking to prevent leaks.
Swap figs with cranberries or apricots for variety.
Best served warm with crackers or sliced apples.
