Description

Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 packet yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup crushed tomatoes
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Mix the warm water and yeast in a bowl and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add the flour, salt, and olive oil; mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and place it on a pizza stone.
- Spread crushed tomatoes over the dough.
- Add slices of fresh mozzarella and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is golden.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
Notes
Serve hot for the best flavor. Experiment with different toppings if desired.
