A moist apple‑pecan cake with warm spices and a rich caramel glaze perfect for autumn gatherings or cozy dessert nights.
Ingredients
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
½ tsp salt
½ cup chopped pecans, toasted
2 apples, diced
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup butter, softened
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup milk
1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round pan.
2. Sift flour, spices, and salt together.
3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy; add eggs and vanilla.
4. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk.
5. Fold in apples and pecans.
6. Pour into pan and bake 40–45 minutes until golden.
7. Cool 10 minutes in pan, then transfer to rack.
8. Drizzle caramel glaze evenly when fully cool.
9. Slice and serve.
Notes
Optional: Add a pinch of sea salt on top of glaze for contrast.
Store at room temp up to 2 days or in fridge up to 5 days.
Reheat gently for a warm slice.
