Ingredients
4 cups shredded cabbage (green or mix of red and green)
1 large apple, julienned or thinly sliced
1 carrot, shredded
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
1 tsp Dijon mustard
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: 2 tbsp chopped parsley or green onions
Optional: 2 tbsp sunflower seeds or chopped pecans for crunch
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, apple, and carrot.
2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
3. Pour the dressing over the slaw mixture and toss until evenly coated.
4. Add parsley or nuts if desired for extra flavor and texture.
5. Chill for 15–20 minutes before serving for the best flavor.
Notes
Use tart apples like Granny Smith for a zesty contrast, or sweet apples like Honeycrisp for a mellow sweetness.
For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for half the mayonnaise.
