- 1 large head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Green onions, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil right on the prepared baking sheet.
- Roast the cauliflower for 20 to 25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- While the cauliflower roasts, prepare the sauce by combining honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan.
- Heat the sauce mixture over medium heat until it simmers and thickens slightly.
- Transfer the roasted cauliflower to a large bowl and pour the warm honey garlic sauce over it. Toss gently until well coated.
- Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Notes
This dish is great as a side or a main course on rice or quinoa. Adjust the sweetness and spice level to your preference.
